This study was carried out in two phases. Phase A’ consisted of the analysis of the existing parking conditions and the formulation of preliminary proposals, and Phase B’ consisted of the final proposals which derived from the modifications made on the preliminary ones. These modifications were based on the comments made from the Municipality of Ampelokipi and the Organization for Master Plan and Environmental Protection of Thessaloniki. The objective of this study was to develop a master plan for the parking policy in the municipality of Ampelokipi.
study results
The study was completed with the formulation of the Master Plan for the Parking Policies in the Municipality of Ampelokipi. Short-term and long-term proposals were formulated based on the data collected and the urban characteristics of the area.
In addition, the construction and operation costs of a proposed underground parking station in the central area and its impacts were examined.
