E – Commerce Applications in the Paper Rolls Business Transactions

The project aims at advancing the business and operational activities, using e-commerce applications. The end solution includes the totality of the globally accepted (EDIFACT/EDIPAP) messages for the interchange of the required formal documents, towards the purchasing of products from an overseas supplier and remote stock control. The end product consists of a series of software applications, which interface all required functions, in order to minimize the user involvement in terms of time and effort.
The software applications forming the integrated solution are the following:
1. Ordering
The whole range of formal documentation required for the completion / of a business agreement is materialized, using EDIFACT/EDIPAP standards. The relevant transactions refer to:
• Request for quotes
• Quoting
• Ordering
• Order response
• Delivery forecasting
• Invoicing
2. Delivery and stock control
This application allows the consignee to electronically communicate (EDI) with other parties involved in the freight transport chain (forwarder, warehouse, etc.), for the remote stock and delivery control.
