Description

The project aim is the technical consultancy of the ITS developer of the pilot project which is implemented in St. Nikolaos (Crete) at the framework of cross-border Programme Greece – Cyprus 2007 – 2013. The Municipality of St. Nikolaos (Crete) is one of the three partners of project DIAVLOS, while the remaining are the Ministry of Communication & Works of Cyprus and Municipality of St. Nikolaos.
Specifically, the following technical consulting services are provided during the project:
– Recording of stakeholders’ needs and collection of existing data based on previous transportation studies for understanding the existing transportation conditions in the Municipality of St. Nikolaos.
– Development of an Intelligent Transportation Systems inventory for future promotion of ITS project at medium-term horizon in the Municipality of St. Nikolaos.
– Preparation of a special study (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan) for the Municipality of St. Nikolaos based on the recording of stakeholders’ needs and the previous transportation studies.
