Basic Element of the approach of the project team the regard of the three basic components of the project in close relation and cooperation amongst them and in particular:
– Operation
– Organizational structure
– Information systems and technology
In the context of the economo-technical study execution, these constituents are analyzed and evaluated taking into consideration the market needs, the national experience and the optimized practices, the trends in the maritime and combined transport fields as well as the opportunities that arise from various initiatives in the domain (national VTMIS development) as well as from the new technologies. The necessary combined interventions and reparative actions are identified next: the system viability and self-financing possibility are examined and its operational and technical characteristics are analyzed as well as the necessary changes in the organization, operation and the existing legislative framework.
The integrated confrontation and harmonic combination of these constituents and the pilot application implementation, in combination with the effective Project Management and Quality Assurance, the close cooperation with the Ministry of Mercantile Marine members and the constant know how exchange, ensures the implementation of the study and constitutes an important added value of the Union approach.
