The main task of the project is the collection, update, provision, exploitation and dissemination via net, of digital content for Thessaloniki’s greater area.
Specifically the project aims at the development of a system from which the user could seek information for point of interest and relate addresses in the prefecture of Thessaloniki. The System will operate only via Internet. The access to the final information from the end user will be presented into vector digital maps, which will visualize the arrival – destination points and points of interest. In the context of information dissemination, the user will have access in information related not only to the points of interest but the completion of his/her trip.
The System will be stored with digital data about Thessaloniki’s greater area, and it will be tested for its performance and effectiveness in the city of Thessaloniki.
