Τhe project PERFFECT addresses the sustainable port development utilizing innovative infrastructure and ICT technologies. It aims to promote the European ports’ environmental profile and the excellence in energy and environmental management and the port performance through novel technological solutions that help monitoring, evaluation, prediction and optimization of the business processes energy efficiency and ports’ infrastructure, as well as the assessment of their environmental behavior.

With the cooperation of CRES and OLPA executives, a complete recording was performed for data such as electricity consumption in the buildings and infrastructure of the port of Patras as well as data concerning other processes with high energy consumption and corresponding emissions, in order to make important decisions for the architecture of the port’s intelligent energy and environmental management system.

At the same time the initial pilot application plans have been described and the first version of the designed PERFFECT platform is being finalized. Finally the required interfaces (e.g. to the Berth Management System of Port of Patras) is being designed and developed.

The project is co‐financed by the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE.
