CloudYMS project presented during 6th CSUM 2022 conference

The CloudYMS project was presented during the CSUM 2022 conference held in Skiathos on 31 August – 2 September 2022. The main aim of CSUM is the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of research and good practices among researchers and practitioners in the domain of transportation and mobility.

The purpose of the research project is the development of the Cloud Yard Management service which is the solution to meet different cargo storage needs in different Ro-Ro / Ro-Pax ports as well as inland depot. In the case of Ro-Ro / Ro-Pax ports, there is a combined passenger traffic operation with unaccompanied cargo parking and the possibility of temporary parking of trucks that will then be loaded on the ship with a specific loading plan. The functions provided by the system include the configuration of the parking allocation process, real-time graphic representation of the port parking spaces, the possibility of communication with external bodies and pre-booking of parking space (booking).

The project is co‐financed by the European Union and Greek national funds through the Operational Program Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, under the call RESEARCH – CREATE – INNOVATE (Τ2ΕΔΚ-01957).
