The project objective is the full scale operation of the ThPA S.A. Container Terminal, using the system developed in the context of the project “Integrated System for the Container Terminal Management in the Port of Thessaloniki and the electronic information exchange with the actors involved”.
The system introduction in the ThPA S.A. everyday operations and the replacement of the currently used manual system, is the result of an integration procedure concisely referred as “Full Scale Implementation”, which includes:
• Further system evaluation and customization to the business and operational conditions, required by an extended, in terms of time scale and functionality, operation at ThPA S.A.
• Adaptation of the ThPA S.A. in the new organizational and operational requirements, imposed by the use of the system and the transition to the full computerization and automation.
The project includes a series of activities in distinct steps that gradually prepare all the parties involved in the port business chain, for their participation in the Integrated Information System (IIS), in order to achieve the smooth and safe initiation of the system full scale operation.
