The project is aiming to propose methods and procedures so that to achieve interoperability of implemented systems to all toll stations operating to all EU countries.
The project studies the interoperability of the services that enable travels (that include toll payment), commercial and private, in all countries with tolling systems. In order to make it possible, the project is examining all technical and contractual issues that are included in the operation of the Electronic Toll Collection systems.

Role of TREDIT:
– determination of requirements for the design of the on-board equipment which is necessary for the interoperable payment in ETC systems
– market research upon the existing ETC systems and on board equipments
– determination of parameters that affect the information exchange between the on board and roadside equipment, so that the communication between them will be possible
