The system is the result of a Transnational cooperation in the region of Adriatic Corridor – Ionian sea, designed to improve the efficiency of intermodal transport and contribute to the best possible integration of Adriatic – Ionian and Aegean Sea into the Transeuropean Transport Network. The portal consists of an advanced IT tool, in the field of e-business and e-logistics, which supports and facilitates the business processes of all parties involved in the intermodal transport chain with emphasis on the port society and aims to improve the efficiency of intermodal transport through a simple, cost effective and open architecture system.
Main benefits of the system:
• It is an open architecture portal based on latest IT developments that facilitate the system interconnection and reduce the software and hardware costs.
• Provides an open information network between the parties involved in the freight transport process that helps to accelerate and upgrade the quality of the services provided.
• Facilitates the interconnectivity / interoperability between the involved actors on national and transnational levels.
• Contributes to the maximization of the benefits at an operational level by expanding IT and telematics infrastructures.
